Lake Orlovskoye was called so by the name of the village of Orlovshchina, which is 2 km from the lake. The lake is unique because medical mud in its reservoirs.  There is  organic silt - sapropel, forming several layers: red-olive, brown-cherry, light-pink and light-olive color. Due to it, the lake is also called Multicolored. The lake is called not only Orlovskoye, but also "Dead" lake because there are no living creatures in it. Many people say that when they come to the lake, they feel very uncomfortable. It's got a scary atmosphere, and it's easy to understand why. The soil is not solid under the feet and "nasty" mosquitoes don’t let a guest enjoy the beauty of the lake
